Wet T-shirt Contests and Cheap Drinks, WHY?
By Rich
Unger
Why would any club Owner, and any competent Manager implore the same
old stale, predictable, boring, out of date and behind the times concept
of a "Wet T-shirt Contest" and "Cheap Drinks"?
I will never understand the zero creativity that Club Owners and
Managers possess? How can you have the
"Chutzpah" to even offer such mindless garbage to your patrons?
And then you wonder why your club is nose diving?
Rode hard, put up wet and with a lot lather promotions such as this two
prong loser are absolutely worthless. Any
club that relies on such passe concepts and begs patrons to come in with
cheap and free drink discounts does not deserve to be packed.
I find it truly compelling, that Clubs
ignore the harsh reality of what their patrons really want!
Clubbers today are atmosphere savvy, they expect good lights, sound
and a dance floor.
They demand a DJ who can pack the floor and not put his ego and
arrogance over their beat. But what Clubs are lacking and missing the target on is, "THE FUN." Where
is the one factor, that will keep patrons in the club longer, keep them
coming back more frequently and have the "buzz" on the street all about
their club?
A club has an "energy" and either you feel it when you enter it or you
don't. When Club Owners cut corners,
ignore repairs, hire unprofessional help, the club loses it's momentum and
becomes a liability that no clubber wants to patronize.
That's why far too often, I hear from Club owners who let the
competition open and ignored them, didn't take the thunder out of their
opening, and simply let them gain a foothold, and then some.
Why would any Club allow another Club to open and not take the wind out
of their sails????????? So, I ask again,
Why would any Club keep running a "drink special" instead of making money?
Why would any club continue to present a dried up "Wet T-shirt
Contest" instead of "THE FUN"?
If that's your "best shot" if that's as far as your mind can think,
then either you should pick up the phone and call me right now, or you
should put your club up for sale? I see
clubs change Owners and all the new Owner does, is exactly what the old
Owner did.
What is he thinking?
Why do you think the club was for sale to begin with?
I mean, a "Club Warp" is where yours is, and there is no where to go
but down, down, down.... Me, I like to take clubs to greatness with "THE
FUN."
