WAKE UP! ALL THE OTHER CLUBS ARE BREATHING DOWN YOUR BACK!!!!

How long is it going to take you to wake up and smell the coffee and get out of the denial mode, and realize your competition is eating you alive, they are grabbing not just their share of the market, but yours too?

How long is it going to take you to finally see the light, you have laid over and played dead for far too long, and as a result, your share of the market has diminished dramatically?

How long is it going to take for you to admit, I need to reformat, I need to retool, I need to retake my club and it's customer base?  Why are you opening every night your open to slow nights, late night so so crowds and simply blaming everyone and everything but what you really know to be the truth?

You got lazy, you got fat, you rested on your laurels, you let your competition take your customers and you never ever fought back! I will say over and over until the day I die, it's not just the DJ, it's not just the music, the lights, the sound and the special effects, the new nightclub mentality is "what else are you offering?"

I tell owner after owner, manager after manager you are not giving your patrons any FUN, I said FUN!!!!!!  It's the same old music, same old people, same old drink specials, I mean if your bored and tired of offering them, how do you think your patrons feel.

You have got to get off your dead butt and make things happen.  Yes, your worried about paying the rent, who is stealing from you, what bills are due, who is going to show up for work, but you have got to over ride all those concerns with the major concern, I NEED TO GIVE MY PATRONS MORE AND I NEED TO DO IT NOW!!!!!!!!

Take a look at your club in the daylight, turn on the lights, open the front doors, and take a long hard look at what you are offering your patrons at night............

You should be darn happy that they don't get to see the nightmare you call a club during the day, the room needs new carpeting, new wallpaper, new paint, clean the smoke off the mirrors, wax the dance floor, wipe down the brass railings, redo the chairs and bar stools, put a new coat of clear on the bar top, clean those bathrooms and replace those sinks and that floor, buy some new glass wear, and replace the bulbs in those lights over the dance floor, get the fog machine fixed, replace the woofers in those speakers, put new needles on the turntables, wipe the slime off the ice machines, get some new phone books for the pay phones, I mean what were you thinking, that all this was going to happen by simply pressing a button?

Your Staff should come in one every 90 days and do a complete housekeeping overhaul of the entire club from top to bottom.  Back to my lecture, I was recently asked by Nightclub & Bar Magazine to speak at their conventions, I accepted their invitation, we shall see if they will allow the best in the biz to do his thing at their thing.

Now, why are you refusing to expand and broaden your promotions base?  Why are you refusing to give your patrons anything new?  No wonder your numbers are down and your nightly count is way off at the door, people are bored with your club.

In the old days, and some of these dinosaur club owners are still around, these guys would just throw open the doors and count the cash at the end of the night, but those days are gone as well they should, and these owners are a small minority now, most selling out or getting out one by one.

Now it's knowing, grasping, learning everything you need to know in order to make your club a success.  Location, parking, decor, format, promotions, pricing, investing in lights, sound, special effects, it all matters.
