THIS ISN'T THE "SOPRANOS" YOUR CLUB CAN ONLY KILL ITSELF OFF.....

Please, someone explain to me why Clubs feel the need to allow disrespectful disc jockeys with foul mouths and lousy spins, and why other clubs allow bands to dictate to the clubs when they play and how long they
play?

Please explain to me, why clubs feel the urge to cram five nights of events into one radio spot and why clubs allow people to simply drink water all night?

Please explain to me why clubs are not stricter on ID Checks and simply play Russian Roulette with the Cops, and why clubs allow their interior to look more like a movie set for "SCREAM," than a fresh clean and shiny atmosphere? And finally, please explain to me, why clubs open during the week and are dead, and why do clubs continue presenting Nightly Events that noooooooooooooooobdy wants to attend.

EVERY CLUB MUST PRETEND TO BE AN ACTOR IN "THE SOPRANOS" never knowing when your last show may be?

Clubs have to always maintain that edge, that advantage that gives them the packed nights and the record volume. Far too many clubs, listen to far too many people for ideas, concepts, promotions, and when the night is a failure, they blame everyone but themselves.

Let's remember everyone's motives, let's start with the radio stations, never ever allow a radio salesperson whom handles other clubs to handle your club's radio biz.

Radio stations are owned by huge corporations such as Clear Channel Communications, and they are only interested in one thing, taking your advertising dollars from you.  Spare me how great your account exec is, the great ones are far and few.  Remote Broadcasts are worthless, why pay a Jock $250. Talent fee to show up and do 3 or 4 call IN's during the night.

The only good Remote is a "Live Dance Party," where the music is played from the Club and broadcast live on the air.  Dance Parties are great on Friday Nights, Saturday Nights and during the summer on "Sunday Nights."  Don't cram so much info into a spot, that the average listener cannot even remember any of it.  Don't waste your money on ads that you run in newspapers that are institutional and boring.

Don't hand out cheap and pathetic flyers, if your going to make a flyer, damn it, make it strong, make it in your face and make it high impact. Most Nightclub Managers and Owners are lazy, lax and last to realize what works and what doesn't work.  Thus they kill their own clubs off.
